India requires a square digital photo for the e-Visa: a JPEG of 10 KB to 1 MB, front view, no spectacles and a plain white or light background. The regular online visa uses the same square image with stricter limits: 350 to 1000 px and a maximum of 300 KB. The digital file is the primary requirement.
