Verified official information
For a child's passport, Vietnam applies the same rules as for an adult: a 40 × 60 mm photo with a white background, facing forward, head uncovered, the face and both ears visible and no glasses.
We correct the framing and prepare the white background while preserving your natural appearance.
We deliver the photo at the exact size plus a template to print the two copies. A parent submits the application without needing to bring the child.
Stand the child in front of a white wall, with even light, and take the photo at eye level. Tie back their hair so the ears show and ask them to look at the camera with their mouth closed.
You don't need to memorize measurements or biometric rules. Imagokit applies this document's official setup and checks the result before delivery.
Take the photo at their eye level, from about 1.5 metres away. It's best if an adult takes it: selfies are not accepted.
Ask them to look at the phone with their head and shoulders straight and their mouth closed. They must be alone, with no toys or other people.
Have them face a window in daylight, with no shadows on the face. We take care of the background.
Don't worry about the background or framing — our AI fixes that. Focus on this.
If you need to complete more than one application, prepare each photo to the exact size and rules of its document.

For children aged 3 to 12. This is an Imagokit guide range, not an official rule: the photo follows the document's rules and, if the authority allows any age-related flexibility, we apply it. From age 13, use the adult photo.
It must be exactly 40 × 60 mm (1.6 × 2.4 in), with a white background. Imagokit crops and adjusts your photo to those measurements automatically.
The background must be white. Our tool replaces your photo's background with the required one automatically.
It is submitted as a digital file in the online application. Download the result and upload it from your device in the photo field.
